Graz's Profile
I have always had a passion for music from a very young age
listening to my parent's music, such as The Everly Brothers, Bill Haley
& The Comets & Jimmy Reeves. In my early teenage years I
progressed to rock music such as The Doors, Cream & Deep Purple. In
the early 80's blues music.
I started in radio in February 2002 at Coral Coast Community Radio
94.7fm Bundaberg. While there, I presented three programs. The first
was "Foggy Highway" - a two hour blues & rock program on Mondays
10:00pm til Midnight. The second one on the list was "The Rhythm
Shack", a three hour program on Fridays from 12noon - 3:00pm. Genres
covered blues, bluegrass, folk, alternative music, Rockabilly &
rock. The third program - "Graz's Blues Den" was on Tuesdays from
6:00pm - 9:00pm. This covered blues & roots music. In 2013, I
joined a select group of blues presenters from Australia who compile
the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts, which comes out
monthly. While with 94.7fm, I was involved with outside broadcasts
& fundraisers. I left 94.7fm in August 2014 & joined a new
station - Encore 96.3fm Bundaberg in November 2014.
I currently present a three hour blues program (Graz's Blues Den) on
Mondays from 6pm to 9pm. The program format is blues music ranging from
traditional blues to Modern Day blues & informative segments
(Festivals, gigs, artist birthdays and "on this day in blues music").
I
am also involved with fundraising for the station & the
organisation of the station's website, and liaise between the Committee
and the webmaster.
